TALES, FABLES, LEGENDS AND A SAGA UNDER THE GRIGNE SHADOW
A peculiar show: paintings born from histories and histories reborn from paintings.
Paintings interpreting or showing great tales (Lord of the Rings) or
traditions (legends of the Dolomites) and then...
Tales of fantasy like the eco-fable Stella Stellina, or from real events (La Schola del Bonduhăc).
Other born by mixing ancient legends and her own life, like Pino, la
morte e il Pelmo, the saga of the Val Meria and the Sasso Cavallo interweaving, under the Grigne, reality and fantasy with creeping notes...
Words and images follow and complete themselves. They mirror each other.
Main characters: always the mountains. Mystical and magical became spiritual tokens
of words and images.
There is a cycle answering the question if, at the origin of her
passion for magic and mystical, there is the love for the mountains, or the reverse; they rise and show together, like mountains.
There is Monte Fato in the Lord of Rings, and (around the Pelmo) Pino walks and grows. In the Schola del Bonduhăc, the Monte Toc crumbles toward the Vajont. And many are the mountains and plateaux with curious names around the history of Stella.
And more, in the Saga of the Val Meria it is It, the Sass Cavall, like a mount Fato grown
between the Grigne, to dominate the scene, in an almost perfect symbiosis with its
"tamer" that Det Alippi that nearby ploughs the land and raises his cattle.
Many, then, of the the Dolomitic group Legends "Ai Confini del Cielo"
are narrated by Carlo Felice Wolff.
And, at the end of the path, in two paints, an homage for those who knew how to sing mountains with words: the beloved Buzzati, teller of big and small histories, and
Mario Rigoni Stern, the heart of this Altopiano that hosts her exhibition.
